Zachary Jackson was born and raised in the Seattle area. He is an alumnus of Whitman College in Walla Walla, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Politics before attending Seattle University School of Law. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2010.

Zach spends his weekends preparing (and occasionally racing) an endurance race car with friends, hiking and skiing in the Cascades, and relaxing with his adopted English Springer Spaniel, Bella.
